Alameda County Fair with Live Horse Racing Pleasanton is home to the Alameda County Fairgrounds which also means that each year, it is home to the Alameda County Fair. Three weeks of rides and games, shopping, entertainment, education, livestock, live concerts and live horse racing! And the food… food for as far as the eye can see. Is there anything like Fair Food? Where else can you get a fried oreo on a stick??

Livermore

Livermore is known for its wine and wineries, and that’s because Livermore is California’s oldest wine region. But who planted the first grapes in Livermore? Would you believe that the first grapes were planted long before Livermore was even named Livermore? Let’s travel back in time to 1797 to when a group of Catholic Padres founded Mission San Jose. The beautiful rolling hills were originally used as pastures for cattle, but eventually, they decided to plant grapes. And the rest is history.

Heritage Park sits at what can be called the crossroads of the Bay Area, at Dublin Boulevard and Donlon Way. Heritage Park dates back more than 200 years when Dublin served as the crossroads of two important stagecoach routes - one from the Bay Area to Stockton and the other from Martinez to San Jose. The Alamilla Spring, located near Heritage Park in front of the Sofi Dublin Apartment buildings, provided a place for travelers to change horses and freshen up before continuing their journey.
