Pet Adoption & Food Drive
If you still want to know, “Who let the dogs out??”, the answer is Elation Real Estate!! In partnership with Valley Humane Society (VHS) and Custom Moving & Hauling, Elation Real Estate hosted a Pop-Up Pet Adoption & Food Drive right in the parking lot of their building.
Food Drive
On Saturday, February 25th, members of the community were invited to bring a donation of dog and cat food as well as kitty litter. The event yielded roughly 1200 pounds of food and 100 pounds of litter. The collected food will be utilized by VHS’s AniMeals (https://valleyhumane.org/programs/animeals-pet-food-pantry/) program which aids low-income pet owners in being able to keep their family members in their care. They have three distribution dates each month.
Pet Adoption
In addition to food donations many members of the community came out on the rainy Saturday morning to see the dogs that VHS had available for adoption. And boy were they cute! During the 2-hour event, they did adopt out two dogs; an adult dog named Boots and a puppy named Birdie! Both went to loving homes. I’d say that was a successful Pet Adoption day.
Shelby Slate with Valley Humane Society, said,
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Elation for putting on the event. It was a great opportunity to increase visibility for Boots, Birdie, and our other adoptable dogs. The donations make a huge impact in aiding families in need in our community.”
Michael Cherman at Elation Real Estate added,
“It was so great to see the support from the community. Other than the fact I almost went home with three new puppies, it was an amazing event! We’ll definitely do that again.”
